WHO IS JESUS?

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. (John 14:6)

At Abundant Life Church, the most important thing we do is help people meet Jesus. The reason for this is because real life change cannot happen without Him.

From the moment that sin entered into the world, Jesus was the only solution to fix the sin problem. Since sin separates us from God, only God could fix it. So, at just the right time, God became a human being, just like you and I, and did things no human has ever done. He was born to a virgin. He lived His entire life without sinning. He performed miracles that no one had ever done before. He died to pay for all of our sins. He was raised back to life, never to die again.

Now, He sits on a throne, at the right hand of our Father God, showing His sacrifice as the full payment for our sins. One day, He will gather all who have accepted Him, and will take us to Heaven to live with Him forever.

The only way to really know Him and spend all of eternity with Him is to accept Him as the Forgiver of our sins, and the Leader of our lives.  This begins with admitting we are a sinner, believing He is the only one who can fix it, and asking Him to forgive us. You can pray a prayer like this one.

Jesus. I know I am a sinner. I know that I have done wrong against others and against you, and I know you are the only One who can fix it. I’m sorry for the wrong I have done. I ask you to forgive me of my sins. Please make me a child of God, and give me the strength to never go back to my old ways. Thank You Jesus, for your forgiveness.

If you prayed this prayer from your heart, congratulations! You are free from your sins, and you are on your way to Heaven. From this moment, until you meet Jesus face to face, trust Him to help you live your brand-new life in the best kind of way.

“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” –Jesus
