What's Really Going On?
What’s Really Going On? || Day 1- Suddenly Moments
"I solemnly urge you in the presence of God and Christ Jesus, who will someday judge the living and the dead when he comes to set up his Kingdom: Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching. For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. They will reject the truth and chase after myths. But you should keep a clear mind in every situation. Don’t be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Work at telling others the Good News, and fully carry out the ministry God has given you." - 2 Timothy 4:1-5 NLT
Beloved, I do not know if you have discerned yet or not, but we are living in a time in the Kingdom of God like we have never witnessed before. Over the past few months, it seems like God has hit the fast forward button on time and end time events are unfolding at a rapid pace. They are unfolding at a speed that is faster than we have ever witnessed.
Supernatural things are happening all over the world right now and they are pointing to the rapture of the church. These are suddenly moments released from heaven. What you do after a suddenly moment has a lot to do with whether a nation will experience revival or not.
Elijah experienced a suddenly moment on top of Mount Carmel. He called the false prophets up to the top of the mountain and he called all of Israel to the mountain. He asked Israel how long will you falter between two opinions. That day, fire fell from heaven and licked up the sacrifices. God released a suddenly moment on top of that mountain in the eyes of all of Israel and 450 prophets of Baal, and the altars of Baal were destroyed. The people of Israel were prime for a national revival. However, the next day Elijah runs from the conflict instead of facing it in the power of God and leading the nation to revival. That is not what you are to do with a suddenly moment
By contrast, the 120 people in the Upper Room also experienced a suddenly moment. They are in the upper room praying and doing their best to obey God. The Bible says that suddenly there came a sound as of a mighty rushing wind from heaven. And it filled the whole house where they were assembled and they were filled with the Holy Spirit. Instead of running and hiding from the threats of a wicked world, these people spilled out into the streets and began to proclaim that Jesus is Lord and Savior. These people began to preach the gospel and push back the powers of darkness over their region. They responded correctly to a suddenly moment and from that response the church of Jesus Christ is still being built today and the Kingdom of God is still advancing.
Suddenly moments are not given to us for us to be intimidated or fearful, but they are given to be acted upon as the Church of Jesus Christ. In these last days, God is opening doors and giving the Church access that it has never had before. Stand up in the boldness and power of the Holy Spirit and grab hold of the suddenly moments God is giving us. Know that the Lord has empowered you and strengthened you for this moment! Walk in that victory!
Pray this today: God, help me to respond correctly to every suddenly moment you release over my life. Help me to stand strong in the Spirit and operate in the power of Your might. Give me the words to say and the guidance to walk in these moments with your grace and power. In Jesus’ name, amen.
