It’s Time to Come Up || Part 5 - Day 4

For thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘Once more (it is a little while) I will shake heaven and earth, the sea and dry land; and I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘And in this place I will give peace,’ says the Lord of hosts.”

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil. Then you will have healing for your body and strength for your bones. Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine.

“What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you are careful to tithe even the tiniest income from your herb gardens, but you ignore the more important aspects of the law—justice, mercy, and faith. You should tithe, yes, but do not neglect the more important things.”

Selfishness and greediness are often a result of the flesh. They are the signs of a hard heart. They are the signs of spiritual immaturity. When you put a kid in a room to play with toys, oftentimes the kid does not want to share his toys. Why? Kids are not mature enough to understand sharing. They are not mature enough to realize that the parents actually own everything that’s in their possession.

Beloved, every time I return the tithe and give offerings, I’m not doing it because I’m afraid of what is going to happen to me if I don’t. I give it because I am thankful for everything God has done, is doing, and will do in my life. It is a biblical way of me expressing gratitude and giving glory to the Lord.

Church, I know God enough to know that anytime He gets the glory and the gratitude for what He has done in your life, two things will happen. One, He’s going to do it again! Two, He’s going to do it bigger and better. Because now He can trust you with the blessings He pours out on your life.

Church, there are so many people that God has blessed, and once they received the blessing, you can’t find them anymore. They are like the nine lepers that were healed. They received their healing and never came back to say thank you. I have seen many come to the Lord because they were in financial troubles. God would help them, and the next thing you know they don’t have time to serve the Lord. God saved their marriage and now they won’t bring their family to the house of God anymore.
