Build It: Part 1
Build It: Part 1, Day 1
Matthew 16:13-19 NKJV
When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?” So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
Luke 19:13 KJV
And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.
Right now, we are living in some unique times on the Earth. We’re living in a time where knowledge is increasing, and information is flowing at greater levels and speeds than it ever has before. We are living in times where things and events are unfolding before our eyes that we never thought we would see.
We are living in times where darkness and wickedness seem to be prevailing in the land. We are living in times where evil is called good and good is called evil. We’re living in times where sin has run so rampantly that what was appalling to the average person 20 years ago is now received as normal.
We are living in times where biblical prophecy is literally unfolding before our eyes daily. You can turn on the news and see biblical prophecy coming to pass daily. We are living in times where the economists are preaching uncertainty, and the globalists are shouting victory.
We are living in times when the love of many is growing cold and lawlessness is abounding. And we are living in times where a young child can get a sex change without their parents’ permission, but they can’t be administered an ibuprofen without their parent present. Yes, these are truly the perilous times that the apostle Paul writes about in his letter to Timothy.
2 Timothy 3:1-5 (NLT), “You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!”
The apostle Paul paints us one side of the picture. But then gives us the other side of the picture in 2 Timothy 4:1-5. “I solemnly urge you in the presence of God and Christ Jesus, who will someday judge the living and the dead when He comes to set up His Kingdom: Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching. For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. They will reject the truth and chase after myths. But you should keep a clear mind in every situation. Don’t be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Work at telling others the Good News, and fully carry out the ministry God has given you.”
Church today I have painted for you one side of the picture, but now allow me to paint the other side of the picture! We are also living in the times when…
The true worshipers of God are rising and will not settle for a counterfeit experience.
The true remnant of God is coming to the forefront carrying fire that has been poured out from heaven.
The true believers that made it through COVID have learned that lights, fog machines, and programs won’t cast demons out of my house.
The real church of Jesus Christ has grown sick and tired of Sesame Street sermons, 55 Minute services, sermon series on Barbie, and AI generated manuscripts.
Here God is raising up the 5-fold Ministry in power, anointing, and glory.
The church is realizing that we were not put here on this earth to be victims or defeated. We were put here on this earth to dominate and occupy till He comes again.
Let’s pray together…
