Build It: Part 4
Build It || Part 4, Day 3
Zechariah 4:6-10 NKJV
So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the Lord of hosts. ‘Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone With shouts of “Grace, grace to it!” ’ ” Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying: “The hands of Zerubbabel Have laid the foundation of this temple; His hands shall also finish it. Then you will know That the Lord of hosts has sent Me to you. For who has despised the day of small things? For these seven rejoice to see The plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. They are the eyes of the Lord, Which scan to and fro throughout the whole earth.”
As I stated earlier, every time you start to build something or increase something in obedience to the Lord the enemy wants to show up and try his best to stop you. He did it with the people of God in the book of Ezra and he will try it again with you. However, just like God sent prophetic words to them, He is sending prophetic words to us.
Over the next three days, we will talk about three prophecies that empowered the people to Build It!
Prophesy that every mountain standing in the way of God’s will is coming down.
Zerubbabel and the people of God had laid the foundation to the house of God, but then they were stopped by the king. The foundation sat there for years without any work happening. Think about how discouraging that had to be. Every day they walked by what was supposed to happen. Every day they looked at their dream not coming to pass. Every day they would walk by the foundation, and they remembered how the Lord spoke to them to build it. But now everything had been stopped and it seemed impossible to start again.
The king stopped the work. Not only that, but now the king that stopped the work isn’t even in power anymore. Now there’s a new king in power who was not even aware of the circumstances. Can’t you see how discouraged and disappointed they must have been. I’m sure they felt like they didn’t hear from God. Or even worse, they probably felt like they failed God.
But in the second year and the sixth month of King Darius, the Lord moved on the prophet Zechariah. And He tells the prophet, “Go tell Zerubbabel, hear the word of the Lord - Not by your might, not by your power, but by my Spirit says the Lord of Host. Who are you oh great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain. And he shall bring forth the capstone with shouts of GRACE, GRACE!”
Mark 11:23, “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.”
Church, there are mountains standing in the way of some of you today. There are some mountains standing in the way of this ministry that are opposing us to BUILD IT! But today I prophesy to every mountain standing in the way - YOU SHALL BECOME A PLAIN!
We prophesy that what the Lord has started with us, we will complete it in Jesus’ name! Mountains are being removed right now in Jesus’ name!
