The Holy Spirit || Part 12, Day 4

Acts‬ 2‬:1‬-4‬ NKJV‬‬

When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

I Corinthians‬ 12‬:1‬-11‬ NKJV‬‬

Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant: You know that you were Gentiles, carried away to these dumb idols, however you were led. Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit. There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.

The gifts healings can be administered or released through the laying on of hands or the spoken word.

Beloved the church must operate in this gift right now. There are many coming through our doors every week that have no hope or help from man. In some cases, man has done all they could to help but to no avail. These people come through the doors of the church wondering is there any help or hope for me here. My answer to you today is, there is a balm in Gilead.

The working of miracles - The working of miracles is a quickening of the Spirit that produces an instantaneous change that can be seen or felt in the natural world. Miracles in many cases are signs to the unbelievers that God is who He says He is. They are signs that Jesus Christ is the Messiah, and He is the only way, truth, and life.

Miracles do not make someone born again. However, a miracle can open their eyes, ears, and hearts to receive salvation. In the book of John Jesus turns water into wine. The first recorded miracle ever performed by Jesus during His earthly ministry was a miracle of provision. The Bible says after that He went up into Jerusalem, for it was the time of Passover.

John 2:23 says, "Now when He was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in His name when they saw the signs which He did."

In other words, when they saw the miracles He did, they were willing to receive His message and believe. Right now, there is a dying and lost world that in some cases are truly wondering who is the true God? Not all of them hate God and are bent towards hell. Some truly want to know who Jesus is. Church when we move in miracles, they will see that the Jesus we preach is true and real!

The working of miracles can be released in different ways. Moses had a staff. Elijah had a mantel. God worked miracles through Sampson’s body. God would work miracles through the apostle Paul’s clothing or handkerchiefs that were laid on his clothing while he ministered.

Let's pray together...
