Unshakable: Part 2
Unshakable: Part 2 || Day 3
Psalm 101:1-8 NLT
I will sing of your love and justice, Lord. I will praise you with songs. I will be careful to live a blameless life— when will you come to help me? I will lead a life of integrity in my own home. I will refuse to look at anything vile and vulgar. I hate all who deal crookedly; I will have nothing to do with them. I will reject perverse ideas and stay away from every evil. I will not tolerate people who slander their neighbors. I will not endure conceit and pride. I will search for faithful people to be my companions. Only those who are above reproach will be allowed to serve me. I will not allow deceivers to serve in my house, and liars will not stay in my presence. My daily task will be to ferret out the wicked and free the city of the Lord from their grip.
Beloved, one of the reasons why there needs to be revival and reformation is because the church got out of the word of God and into the opinions of man. For over 20 years now, there has been a walking away from the word of God in the body of Christ. We have had hipster theologians and motivational speakers take the place of true prophets and preachers. Therefore, the body of Christ is struggling with their identity because they have had a regular dose of one verse and a 15-minute opinionated pep talk, and called it meeting with God.
For over 20 years now the opinions and feelings of man have been preached as the word of God. The church took it as truth because they were not centered in the Word and because the people speaking these things had big platforms. Therefore, we were willing to accept it as a new truth or a new revelation because they had a national or global audience.
When the shaking did show up, like it did during COVID, much of the church was not ready. Much of the church was a part of the shaking instead of being separated from it. When the shaking came, much of the church shut down or sat down, instead of standing up. This is why in many places the tithes and offerings didn’t go down, but the ministry did. Why? Because the body of Christ was full of people who had learned how to be faithful, but because there was a lack of the true Word of God, they were not faith-filled!
That’s why much of the church was ok with sending in a check, but not ok with attending church. That’s why they would watch online, but not leave their houses. That’s why we would post scriptures online, but not lay our hands on people and pray for them. Because we thought it was just about being faithful. However church, shaking times require faithful people and faith-filled people.
We believe God is doing something different right now in the earth. He is taking places like this, and He is pouring out His Word and His glory on a remnant of people. He’s making a clarion call to the nations and saying, “Come and drink of this water and you will not be shaken. Come and receive this glory and take it back to every dry and thirsty soul.”
