Build It || Part 5, Day 4

Matthew‬ 16‬:13‬-19‬ NKJV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?” So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

Luke‬ 19‬:13‬ KJV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.

Ezra‬ 4‬:1‬-6‬ NKJV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

”Now when the adversaries of Judah and Benjamin heard that the descendants of the captivity were building the temple of the Lord God of Israel, they came to Zerubbabel and the heads of the fathers’ houses, and said to them, “Let us build with you, for we seek your God as you do; and we have sacrificed to Him since the days of Esarhaddon king of Assyria, who brought us here.” But Zerubbabel and Jeshua and the rest of the heads of the fathers’ houses of Israel said to them, “You may do nothing with us to build a house for our God; but we alone will build to the Lord God of Israel, as King Cyrus the king of Persia has commanded us.” Then the people of the land tried to discourage the people of Judah. They troubled them in building, and hired counselors against them to frustrate their purpose all the days of Cyrus king of Persia, even until the reign of Darius king of Persia. In the reign of Ahasuerus, in the beginning of his reign, they wrote an accusation against the inhabitants of Judah and Jerusalem.“

‬‬The third strategy of the devil to try and keep you from building is to frustrate your purpose.

The Hebrew word here for frustrate means to break you or destroy you. Notice they didn’t hire counselors against them only. They hired counselors against them to frustrate their purpose. In other words, the enemy wasn’t just against them. He was against the purpose God had placed on their lives. He was against the call and mandate they were carrying for God.

Beloved, what you must understand is when the enemy is doing all he can to frustrate your purpose, that means you are walking in your purpose. When the devil is launching things and people at you to bring frustration in every part of your life, it is because you were headed in the right direction. He doesn’t want to see the purpose God placed on your life to be fulfilled.

Why? Because designed in each and every one of our purposes is victory. In other words, each and every one of us have a purpose from God, and in that purpose, God has designated times for us to give the devil a black eye. And the more you walk in that purpose the more opportunities you have to kick the feet out from under the devil.

The devil knows this, so he tries to frustrate us to a place of giving up on our God-given purpose. Today I want to encourage you, and let you know that, if the devil is trying to frustrate you in the purpose on your life, that means you are about to knock him out. That means there’s an opportunity coming your way to put him on his back. The purpose God has on your life will be fulfilled for His glory in the Earth! How do we know this? Because His Word says it!

Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

1 Peter 2:9, But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

Proverbs 19:21, Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.

Acts 13:36, Now when David had served God’s purpose in his own generation, he fell asleep; he was buried with his ancestors and his body decayed.

In other words, beloved, David served God’s purpose for his life before he died. Many tried to kill him prematurely. Many tried to take him out before he finished that purpose. Many tried to frustrate him on that purpose. However, they all failed! And beloved, every attempt from the enemy on you to frustrate the purpose God has placed on your life today will fail.
