It's Time to Come Up: Part 1
It’s Time to Come UP!
Part 1 || Day 1
Proverbs 13:22 NKJV
A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, But the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous.
Ecclesiastes 2:26 NKJV
For God gives wisdom and knowledge and joy to a man who is good in His sight; but to the sinner He gives the work of gathering and collecting, that he may give to him who is good before God. This also is vanity and grasping for the wind.
II Corinthians 8:9 NKJV
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.
Church, as we look throughout the Bible and we understand more about the covenant, we realize that it is God’s desire to bless and prosper His children. As we receive more revelation about His covenant and the promises, we realize that God is for us and not against us. As we receive more revelation about the covenant, it’s obvious that our Heavenly Father has made extreme provisions for us to be blessed, holy, and prosperous.
As we read this covenant, we understand that every one of God’s promises are yes and amen. As a matter of fact, when you read this covenant, the Bible, even someone who doesn’t know the Lord can come up with the conclusion that if you obey God, He will bless you and keep you! It would be absolutely foolish to read this book and come up with some other conclusion than that. I’m reminded of what the Lord says in Jeremiah 29:11. “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
Isaiah 1:19 says, “If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land.”
There are Scriptures in the Bible that promise protection, provision, and prosperity for those who obey the terms of this covenant. As a matter of fact, there’s not one place in this Bible where God rewarded someone with poverty. From Genesis to Revelation, you can’t find one place where someone obeys the Lord and His reward to them was poverty and pain. No! Actually, it’s quite the opposite.
Every person that obeyed the voice and leading of the Lord was rewarded with possessions, protection, and prosperity. This is not something that I have come up with. Nor is it something that I am stretching the truth in to fit this teaching. Church, this is throughout all of the Bible.
Genesis 15:1, “After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, ‘Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.’”
Hebrews 11:6, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”
The promises of blessing in Deuteronomy 28:1-13 hinge on this statement, “If you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God…”
Let’s pray together…
