Build It: Part 1, Day 4
Matthew 16:13-19 NKJV
When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?” So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
I Chronicles 28:10-11 NKJV
“Consider now, for the Lord has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary; be strong, and do it.” Then David gave his son Solomon the plans for the vestibule, its houses, its treasuries, its upper chambers, its inner chambers, and the place of the mercy seat;”
I Kings 6:1 NKJV
And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel had come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign over Israel, in the month of Ziv, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of the Lord.
BUILD IT to house the glory that will be released on the church.
Solomon builds a temple for the children of Israel to meet with God. Little does he know that when he is done it becomes a place where God comes to meet with His children. When Solomon is done, and he prays, the glory of the Lord falls upon the temple and the priests could no longer minister.
The separation that will be made in the body of Christ in 2024 will not be between denominations. It will not be between different colors of people’s skin. It will not be between different styles of worship or preaching. It will be between those who will house the glory and those who won’t.
Church, in the days that we are living in, the days that are ahead of us it will require the glory of God to overcome. The glory is what will protect you. The glory is what will bless you. The glory is what will cause you to live holy and clean lives. The glory is what will keep you in the center of His will. The glory will cause you to have the mind of Christ. The glory will cause you to hear the whispers of God in such a boisterous world.
Beloved, the glory doesn’t fall because people want it. The glory doesn’t fall because you have church on your sign outside. The glory doesn’t fall because there are a group of believers in one place. The glory doesn’t fall because you have a certain person in to preach. The glory doesn’t fall because you have a conference or a series of meetings. Church the glory falls where the people of that house are willing to pay the price for the glory.
We have a billboard down the street here on Hwy 42. When Molly and Pastor Jason were asking Apostle what he thought should go on it, almost immediately something rose in his spirit. “ALC, the Glory Church”. Because everyone who comes here says this is a house of His glory. That doesn’t come by accident or coincidence. It comes because the leadership and people of this house choose to pay the price every day to house this glory.
