The Holy Spirit || Part 12, Day 5

Acts‬ 2‬:1‬-4‬ NKJV‬‬

When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

I Corinthians‬ 12‬:1‬-11‬ NKJV‬‬

Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant: You know that you were Gentiles, carried away to these dumb idols, however you were led. Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit. There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.

In Matthew chapter 8 we see Jesus work four different miracles in four different ways with four different people.

First example - Matthew 8:2 – “And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.’” The Bible says that Jesus touched him, and immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

Second example - Matthew 8:8 – “The centurion answered and said, ‘Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.’”

Third example - Matthew 8:15 – “So He touched her hand, and the fever left her. And she arose and served them." He healed Peter’s mother-in-law by touching her hand.

Fourth example - Matthew 8:16 – “When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick,”

When it comes to the working of miracles, there is no set way in which God is going to work. You have to be sensitive to the voice of the Holy Spirit in that moment. Because He might have you lay hands on them. He might have you speak up with him. Or He might have you spit in the dirt and rub mud on their eyes. There are many different administrations of the working of miracles, but know this, the working of miracles is to add to the Church, and they cause the unbeliever to open their eyes to Jesus.

The last three gifts of the Spirit are the action gifts or the power gifts. These gifts give us the ability to act like God. These gifts give us the ability, power, capacity, and force that overrules the natural order by supernatural power. In other words, there is something that is undeniable in the natural and in the natural it will always be that way. But when it comes in contact with one of the power gifts that which is in the natural has to change because of the supernatural.

The Bible is full of events, stories and people who were supernaturally changed because of the gifts of the Spirit. According to the natural order of things everything was supposed to go this way. However, the gifts of the Holy Spirit manifested and the natural order of things are changed because of the supernatural power of God that showed up through the gifts.
