It's Time to Come Up: Part 2
It’s Time to Come UP!
Part 2 || Day 3
Haggai 2:6-9 NKJV
“For thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘Once more (it is a little while) I will shake heaven and earth, the sea and dry land; and I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘And in this place I will give peace,’ says the Lord of hosts.”
Luke 6:38 NKJV
“Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”
Hebrews 7:1-10 NKJV
For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the Most High God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him, to whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all, first being translated “king of righteousness,” and then also king of Salem, meaning “king of peace,” without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like the Son of God, remains a priest continually. Now consider how great this man was, to whom even the patriarch Abraham gave a tenth of the spoils. And indeed those who are of the sons of Levi, who receive the priesthood, have a commandment to receive tithes from the people according to the law, that is, from their brethren, though they have come from the loins of Abraham; but he whose genealogy is not derived from them received tithes from Abraham and blessed him who had the promises. Now beyond all contradiction the lesser is blessed by the better. Here mortal men receive tithes, but there he receives them, of whom it is witnessed that he lives. Even Levi, who receives tithes, paid tithes through Abraham, so to speak, for he was still in the loins of his father when Melchizedek met him.
Preacher, what are you saying? I’m telling you it doesn’t matter how deep of a hole you are in. It doesn’t matter how long you have been there. It doesn’t matter who said you can never get out. If you will diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God today, He will bless you and set you high above all the nations of the earth. He will cause your vats to overflow with new wine, and your barns to be filled with plenty.
The first step to positioning yourselves to come up, or positioning yourselves for the wealth transfer, is commit to biblical tithing.
Tithing means tenth. It means getting 10% of your gross pay and returning it to the Lord, returning it to the storehouse.
Church the word tithe means tenth. Ten percent is the amount of the tithe. First is the principle of the tithe. In other words, putting God first is what is happening when you tithe. We’ve already established that God’s resources are limitless and His power is inconceivable. Therefore, why would He tell you to tithe? It isn’t like He needs your money.
Matthew 6:21, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
In other words, every time you give your tithe you are declaring that God is first in your life. “Well, I can do that without tithing.” Not according to the Bible. Remember, what we read last week, “If you will diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, He will bless you.”
Let’s pray…
