God Ain't Done Yet || Part 8 - Day 5

I Corinthians‬ 1‬:25‬-29‬ NKJV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence.

Judges‬ 7‬:9‬-15; 8:1-4 NKJV‬‬‬‬‬‬

It happened on the same night that the Lord said to him, “Arise, go down against the camp, for I have delivered it into your hand. But if you are afraid to go down, go down to the camp with Purah your servant, and you shall hear what they say; and afterward your hands shall be strengthened to go down against the camp.” Then he went down with Purah his servant to the outpost of the armed men who were in the camp. Now the Midianites and Amalekites, all the people of the East, were lying in the valley as numerous as locusts; and their camels were without number, as the sand by the seashore in multitude. And when Gideon had come, there was a man telling a dream to his companion. He said, “I have had a dream: To my surprise, a loaf of barley bread tumbled into the camp of Midian; it came to a tent and struck it so that it fell and overturned, and the tent collapsed.” Then his companion answered and said, “This is nothing else but the sword of Gideon the son of Joash, a man of Israel! Into his hand God has delivered Midian and the whole camp.” And so it was, when Gideon heard the telling of the dream and its interpretation, that he worshiped. He returned to the camp of Israel, and said, “Arise, for the Lord has delivered the camp of Midian into your hand.”

Now the men of Ephraim said to him, “Why have you done this to us by not calling us when you went to fight with the Midianites?” And they reprimanded him sharply. So he said to them, “What have I done now in comparison with you? Is not the gleaning of the grapes of Ephraim better than the vintage of Abiezer? God has delivered into your hands the princes of Midian, Oreb and Zeeb. And what was I able to do in comparison with you?” Then their anger toward him subsided when he said that. When Gideon came to the Jordan, he and the three hundred men who were with him crossed over, exhausted but still in pursuit.

Three things we must watch for so we don’t fall into the traps of the enemy.

2) The second thing to watch out for is the exaggeration of the enemy, or your problem, in your mind.

Church, I have found that our minds automatically want to make our enemies bigger than they really are. Our minds want to make problems bigger than they really are. For some reason our minds want to immediately go to the worst-case scenario every time something comes up. It’s in moments like these that we must understand that we are in this world, but we are not of this world.

1 Corinthians 2:16, “For ‘who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?’ But we have the mind of Christ.”

Romans 12:2, “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

Philippians 4:8, “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.”

Gideon was wondering, “How are we going to defeat this enemy? I have 300 men and little to work with.” And he had built the enemy up in his head. In his mind the enemy was huge, and he was small. So, God sends him to the camp of the enemy to hear what they were saying about him. He then realizes that the opposite was actually true. The enemy had built Gideon and his men up and had considered themselves small.

One of the best ways to not exaggerate the enemy or your problems in your head is to remember this, God has already gone before you! God had already gone before Gideon and his men and caused their enemies to become afraid of them.

Deuteronomy 28:10, “if you diligently follow my commands, then all peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they shall be afraid of you.”

Church, things are starting to happen fast right now because God has already gone ahead of us! The Bible says that He is omnipresent. That means He is everywhere present. In other words, He’s right here in your present helping you for your today, and He is already in your tomorrow, so that the path of the righteous is laid out for you.

That’s why Jesus told us in Matthew chapter 6, “Don’t worry about your life, what you’ll eat what you will drink. Don’t worry about your body or what you will wear. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”

Why did He tell us not to worry about it? Because God is in your present, and He is already in your future. Therefore, when you seek the kingdom first and His righteousness, you were lined up with Him in your today and you are lined up with Him in your tomorrow.

Isaiah 46:10, “Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done, Saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, And I will do all My pleasure,’”

Revelation 22:13, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”

3) The third thing to watch out for is mistaking fatigue for failure.

The Bible says that Gideon and his men came to the Jordan, he and his 300 men crossed over, exhausted but still in pursuit. Sometimes church, we are not exhausted in the body, but we are exhausted in the mind or in our spirit. Sometimes we are exhausted in our efforts to try and help or reach people. Sometimes we get exhausted in our pursuit to walk in our calls or to accomplish the dream God has given us.

And if we are not watchful, we can mistake our fatigue for failure. We will look around and wonder is there any reason to continue to pursue victory. But can I tell you today GOD AIN’T DONE YET!

For those of you who have…

…stayed up at night praying for your prodigals and you feel exhausted.

…have given all you know to give and feel exhausted.

…worked hard and it seems like you are not making any progress and you are exhausted.

…felt like the dream will never come to pass and you are exhausted.

…felt like time is not on your side and it’s taking way too long, and you feel exhausted.

Hear the word of the Lord to you today. You may feel exhausted, but keep pursuing! Things are about to speed up for you! What was taking years to accomplish will be done by the end of this year. The things you were spinning your wheels and seemed stuck in the mud about are about to catch traction and speed up. I prophesy an anointing upon this house today to accomplish the will of God in the earth QUICKLY!

Go tell all the voices of doubt, all the voices of discouragement, and the voices disbelief- GOD AIN’T DONE YET!

Pray with me…
