Unshakable: Part 1
Unshakable: Part 1 || Day 3
Psalm 101:1-8 NLT
"I will sing of your love and justice, Lord. I will praise you with songs. I will be careful to live a blameless life— when will you come to help me? I will lead a life of integrity in my own home. I will refuse to look at anything vile and vulgar. I hate all who deal crookedly; I will have nothing to do with them. I will reject perverse ideas and stay away from every evil. I will not tolerate people who slander their neighbors. I will not endure conceit and pride. I will search for faithful people to be my companions. Only those who are above reproach will be allowed to serve me. I will not allow deceivers to serve in my house, and liars will not stay in my presence. My daily task will be to ferret out the wicked and free the city of the Lord from their grip."
Unshakable people live a life of integrity in their homes and in the kingdom.
Notice what it says in Psalm 101:2. “I will be careful to live a blameless life— when will you come to help me? I will lead a life of integrity in my own home.”
The Bible is telling us that our righteous living has to be lived out in our homes first and then in the courts of the kingdom. In other words, the Bible is telling us that being unshakable starts in our homes first, then flows out everywhere else. The Bible is telling us to keep it 100. Keep it real! Don’t be one way in church and another way in your homes. Have integrity in front of all people. Especially your family.
When God was about to wipe Sodom and Gomorrah off the face of the earth, he came to one person and revealed His secret. That person was Abraham. We see one of the reasons why that person was chosen by God.
Genesis 18:19 says, “For I have known him, in order that he may command his children and his household after him, that they keep the way of the LORD, to do righteousness and justice, that the LORD may bring to Abraham what He has spoken to him.”
In other words, “Abraham, I have seen you to have integrity in your home and that is why you are getting revelation that others aren’t getting. This revelation will cause you not to be shaken even when the whole city is being destroyed.”
You may be thinking, I have really messed up in this area. Church, don’t allow the failures and mistakes of yesterday to keep you from being unshakable in the future. Make up your mind today that this is going to change and that you will lead a life of integrity in your home and in the courts of the kingdom.
Church, most of the time when the devil is looking for a cracked door, he usually doesn’t look in our ministry—in our serving in the house of God. He usually looks in the home. He wants to destroy your house because it’s our houses that make up the House of God.
