Jesus The… || Part 3, Day 5

Acts 1:8

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

Luke 4:1, 14

Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness….Then Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and news of Him went out through all the surrounding regions.

Luke 12:49-51 

I came to send fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled! But I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how distressed I am till it is accomplished! Do you suppose that I came to give peace on earth? I tell you, not at all, but rather division.

The baptism in the Holy Ghost and fire is so we can have the same resolve as Jesus.

Jesus had a resolve within Himself that regardless of the temptation the devil put in front of Him, He wouldn’t fall to it. Church, through the power of the Spirit and the crucifying of the flesh we too can have this kind of resolve.

Jesus had the resolve that He would not be pressed into the mold of the world and of current culture. He refused to be average and live the status quo. He refused to bend to the demands of complacency and lukewarm living. He had the resolve within Him that He was sent to the earth to be different. He was in this earth to be separate.

Church, when the Holy Ghost and fire hits you, that truth begins to emanate throughout your life. You are no longer looking at your life as a blend to culture, you see it as a call to raise the standard in culture. You no longer see your life as a mixture with the world, but rather, you see your life as a higher call in this earth.
