I'll Keep The Fire
I'll Keep The Fire || Day 4
Matthew 25:1-13 NKJV
“Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept. “And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’ Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut. “Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’ “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.“
THE FIRE OF HEALING
Jeremiah 20:7-9 NKJV
O Lord, You induced me, and I was persuaded; You are stronger than I, and have prevailed. I am in derision daily; Everyone mocks me. For when I spoke, I cried out; I shouted, “Violence and plunder!” Because the word of the Lord was made to me A reproach and a derision daily. Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, Nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, And I could not.
I’m talking about the fire that heals the bruises made by the beatings of mockery.
There are people who have been getting beatings of mockery day in and day out. Mockery from your family. Mockery from your co-workers. Even mockery from Christians.
Is all of that necessary? Do you have to dance like that? Do you have to shout like that? Do you have to preach like that? Does it really take all that?
I don’t know if it does take all this, but what I can tell you is, I can’t help but to glorify His name. There is a fire shut up in my bones.
When you let that fire burn, it doesn’t matter what anyone says. They can say what they want to. They can do what they want to. You can be beat with mockery and the fire will immediately heal it.
I want to know who will keep the fire! Who will stand against the devil's wiles? Come hell or high water this fire isn’t going to be put out.
There are people that got lost in arguments that don’t even matter. Whether the earth it flat, or whether is it round. So concerned if you can have a Christmas tree or you can’t have a Christmas tree. Wanting talk to people about how a butterfly landed on your window, and what it could mean in the mystic realm of your dreams. Wrapped up in conversation that has nothing to do with the one who’s coming back for you?
I’m telling you there’s a world that doesn’t care about nonsense. They’re dying and on their way to hell, and they need someone to tell them about Jesus. Their spirit is crying, “Take me to somebody that’s burning and somebody who will tell me about the One that’s coming.”
Apostle Paul even talks about this. Don’t get wrapped up in conversation that means nothing. It profits you nothing.
When I say mockery, I’m not talking about the mess you bring on yourself from useless conversations. I’m talking about the mockery where all hell is coming against you, and you decide to keep the fire and stand.
Pray with me…
