Unity: The Secret to Victory || Part 1 - Day 1
Psalms 133:1-3 NKJV
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, Running down on the beard, The beard of Aaron, Running down on the edge of his garments. It is like the dew of Hermon, Descending upon the mountains of Zion; For there the Lord commanded the blessing— Life forevermore.
I Corinthians 1:10 NKJV
Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
Matthew 18:18-22 NKJV
“Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.”
When we look at the church of the Lord Jesus Christ, I want you to know there is nothing else that can compare to the church. When we really dive into the origin of the church it’s obvious there is nothing else like it. When we look at how diverse the church is, yet it moves in harmony and fluidity we see, there is nothing else like the church.
When we look at the church and see that it claims no worldly fame to validate it. It claims no natural strength to support it. It claims no human wisdom to explain it. The church claims no worldly fame, yet it has the most famous book ever known to man, the Bible. It claims no natural strength, yet its prayers can cause clouds to form in dry skies and crime to leave a city. It claims no human wisdom and yet the wisdom it has is still foolishness to natural man.
There is nothing else like the church of Jesus Christ. Governments have tried and couldn’t stomp it out. Wars have broken out all over the world and couldn’t kill it out. Demons attacked and they couldn’t drive it out. Beloved, there is nothing else like the church!
Jesus said in Matthew 16:18, “I will build My church and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it.”
The apostle Paul writes later in the scriptures in Romans 8:35-37, “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: ‘For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.’ Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”
Later on, we read the words of the Holy Spirit written by the hands of John; John had seen some great things. He had seen the greatness of the Jerusalem temple. He had seen the greatness of the Roman army. He had seen the greatness of John the baptizer as he prepared the way of the Lord.
However, when he looks back and being inspired of the Holy Ghost, he writes in 1 John 4:4, “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”
John 16:33 “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
