Jesus The… || Part 3, Day 2

Luke 3:15-18

Now as the people were in expectation, and all reasoned in their hearts about John, whether he was the Christ or not, John answered, saying to all, “I indeed baptize you with water; but One mightier than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather the wheat into His barn; but the chaff He will burn with unquenchable fire.” And with many other exhortations he preached to the people.

Beloved, if you look closely you will find that as soon as the 120 received the Holy Ghost in the upper room that day, they did greater works than Jesus. The very first day of the Spirit being poured out they did greater works than Jesus. There is no place in the Bible where Jesus preached and 3,000 were born again.

There couldn’t be a place like that because Jesus hadn’t gone to the cross yet. But after He went to the cross, died, and got up out of that grave three days later, He went around showing Himself to over 500 people for 40 days. Then He ascended into heaven and sent the Spirit to the earth to dwell in people. On the first day the Spirit was sent, greater works showed up!
