Build It || Part 5, Day 1
Matthew 16:13-19 NKJV
When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?” So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

Ezra 4:1-6 NKJV
”Now when the adversaries of Judah and Benjamin heard that the descendants of the captivity were building the temple of the Lord God of Israel, they came to Zerubbabel and the heads of the fathers’ houses, and said to them, “Let us build with you, for we seek your God as you do; and we have sacrificed to Him since the days of Esarhaddon king of Assyria, who brought us here.” But Zerubbabel and Jeshua and the rest of the heads of the fathers’ houses of Israel said to them, “You may do nothing with us to build a house for our God; but we alone will build to the Lord God of Israel, as King Cyrus the king of Persia has commanded us.” Then the people of the land tried to discourage the people of Judah. They troubled them in building, and hired counselors against them to frustrate their purpose all the days of Cyrus king of Persia, even until the reign of Darius king of Persia. In the reign of Ahasuerus, in the beginning of his reign, they wrote an accusation against the inhabitants of Judah and Jerusalem.“
BUILD IT to give God glory and defy His enemies.
2 Corinthians 2:11, “lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices.”
Strategies from hell to stop you from building. The devil’s plan for opposition.
The first strategy the devil tries to keep you from building is to join you.
In my opinion, this is one of the most unnoticed schemes that the enemy has in his playbook. One man of God said it like this, “Anytime the devil wants to destroy you or distract you, he will send someone into your life.” I call them assignments from hell. By the way, the devil did not come up with this. He copied God. Because most of the time, when Heaven gets ready to do something big in your life, God will send someone in your life to help you.
The devil saw how powerful relationships are to our destinies and therefore copied God. Now, when he wants to derail or destroy your destiny, he sends someone in your life. Many times, these people don’t know they are being used or influenced by the enemy. Many times, they do not know the devil is using them to distract, derail, or destroy what God is building in your life.
He seeks to do this with our children, our families, and those Heaven has sent into our lives to accomplish God’s will in the earth. It’s the old saying, “If you cannot beat them, join them.” That’s why it is imperative that the church moves powerfully in these days in the discerning of spirits.
