Jesus The… || Part 4, Day 1

Colossians‬ 2‬:4‬-9‬ NLT‬‬‬‬

I am telling you this so no one will deceive you with well-crafted arguments. For though I am far away from you, my heart is with you. And I rejoice that you are living as you should and that your faith in Christ is strong. And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness. Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ. For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body.

Could Jesus have accomplished His purpose in the earth without being rich? Wait a minute! Doesn’t the Bible say He became poor so we can become rich? He did become poor in comparison to where He came from. It doesn’t ever say He was poor in the earth.

Jesus was rich! When He was crucified, the solders gambled for His clothing. You don’t gamble for a poor man’s clothing.

Secondly, Jesus had a full-time treasurer on staff that stole from Him. And even though he stole from Jesus, He never missed it. You can’t find one place where Jesus ever had a financial need, financial deficit, or was even concerned about money. He had twelve full-time staff that traveled everywhere together. That’s paying, feeding, housing, clothing, taking care of and travel expenses for twelve full-time staff members. And one won’t keep his hands out of the money box. And still they never had a concern or need.

Church, I’m here to tell you today that when we put our lives and trust in the Lord Jesus and obey His word, He will always provide for our needs and beyond. He didn’t stop providing for us when He ascended into heaven. As a matter of fact, His ascension only positioned Him to help us even more. He told us it is for our benefit that He goes away.
