Psalms 133:1-3 NKJV
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, Running down on the beard, The beard of Aaron, Running down on the edge of his garments. It is like the dew of Hermon, Descending upon the mountains of Zion; For there the Lord commanded the blessing— Life forevermore.
I Corinthians 1:10 NKJV
Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
Matthew 18:18-22 NKJV
“Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.”
Beloved, there is nothing else like the church of Jesus Christ in this earth and there never will be. We are a group of people that have been rescued, not by the blood of a lamb on our doorpost, we have been rescued by the blood of THE LAMB placed upon our hearts. We did not walk through a Red Sea with Egyptian soldiers on our backs. We followed the Lord Jesus into the waters of baptism. The Holy Spirit has not been seen over us as cloud by day and a fire by night. No, He lives within us as glory and fire all the time. There is nothing like the church of Jesus Christ!
But what does this have to do with unity and victory? Church, I have found that no outside organization, entity, or enemy can weaken or stop the church. You can gather every demon there is together against the church at one time and they still can’t stop or take out the church. I have found the only real threat against the church is that which comes from the inside, not the outside. Sometimes I wonder should our prayer meetings be less about rebuking devils and more about rebuking divisive church members.
What I have found is the only real threat against the church of Jesus Christ is the threat that comes from the inside. And over the past several years of pastoring and overseeing churches this is what we have found; the real threat against the church, over 90% of the time, comes in the form of rebellion and division.
As long as the church stays unified and submissive to authority, there is nothing we can’t accomplish. There is nothing that we can’t see done. There is nothing that will be impossible for us! As long as the church stays in unity and submission to one another, there is nothing that can come close to taking us out.
